I think I've seen pictures of your Sniper with the internal radiator installed, but I can't find them anymore... If I remember right, you had both the radiator and the fans inside, correct?

I'm wondering if it's a good idea to put the fans on the outside (in the handle area) and get a thicker (50m) radiator instead of using one that's only 30mm. Advice I've been given on other boards say that a single 2x120 30mm radiator isn't enough to keep two GPUs (or even an i7 and NB) as cool as they need to be.

Has anyone tried to fit a 3x120 inside the Sniper? I really, really don't want to run anything outside the case, but I've been playing around with overclocking the i7 now and water cooling it is now something I'd like to entertain as well.

The thing is, I only game about 20% of the time, and general light usage (e-mail, web, photos) about 30%. The other 50% of the time I'm doing CPU intensive stuff like rendering images in Terragen, POV-Ray, etc. I konw a single 2x120 radiator won't be able to handle both GPU's and the CPU, so I'm looking for my best options considering I want to keep everything inside the case (including the handle area .

I had both fans and the rad inside, yes. You can put the fans in the handle area I think, just make to get high static pressure + cfm ones in order to actually be able to move air through the thicker rad.

The 2x120mm rad would struggle to keep the GPU's cool under load depending on the OC and model. IMO it would be downright impossible to cool both GPU's AND the CPU + NB on a purely internal loop without some serious modification. One guy on here cut out some of the top mesh and placed a 360mm rad there, maybe you would want to do that?

I might be that guy, maybe! I put a Black Ice 360 rad. with push-pull fans on my Sniper and have been very happy with it. I am cooling my CPU, GPU, N/S bridge and mosfits.
Ricowan; Hope this helps

That's awesome! It gives me a good reference for coming up with a setup of my own. I haven't finished reading through the whole thread yet, just wanted to say thanks for the link.

9 1/2 years after my last build, I'm ready to build again!

I've been reading and reading and reading for months.

Last night, I took the plunge and ordered the Sniper from NewEgg. Today was the last day of their free shipping offer (Sniper case from NewEgg)
and their selling the case for $119.00.

I love the way this case looks. I also love all the great things I've read about its cooling capabilities and how nice it is to build into. I'm going to put a AMD PII X4 955BE in it and I really want to overclock it!

Thanks to everyone for all their great comments, tips, and input!
