Hey guys, I have a CM Sniper Black, and I want to Connect 3 CCFL to the Controller that located on the top off the case, I need to connect the CCFL's to the 2 pin, right? The CCFL's are Revoltec 30 cm and are powered by a molex connector. Have you any idea how I can do this?

I hope you read this and help me with my electronic Problem thumb.gif

Unfortunately the built in fan controller LED switch doesn't provide enough current to handle anything more than the LED on the stock fans.

You can actually make this work, but it is not as easy as just plugging it in. The lighting switch on the front panel does/can provide enough power through the fan lighting wires to control a relay that will in turn switch a 12V feed from the 12V molex power feed.

How ambitious are you? How good are you at soldering?

I don't know exactly what kind of overhead the switch actually has (so I can't recommend just adding the relay to the current circuit), but if you were to eliminate all of the current fan lighting connections from the switch, you can utilize one of these: 12V Relay.

Wired properly, the lighting switch will then trigger the relay, and the 12V power for the CCFL inverters and the fans runs through the relay, rather than the sniper's switch. The relay's coil draws very little amperage ~160ma, which is approximately equivalent to having all of the lighting connectors on the sniper's switch connected to fans with 4 LEDs each. So it would evolve rewiring the current fans too, so that their load is also fed from the relay.

A very clever idea to use a relais. I have all the tools to solder so I know what to do now smile.gif
Thank you very much, when I'm done I will take a picture of my case biggrin.gif

This might help, I'm not sure what the voltage is on the Sniper but on the Scout it is 5 volts.

Please add me to the club. This is my 1st ever computer build, and even though my psu is modular, my cable management is still a mess. I'm trying to hide all those wires that are showing next to the motherboard tray, so it looks like this build is going to take me longer, than expected. Any tips or tricks that would help, are appreciated. No sleeving for me though. What would really help me out, is those people with nice cable management, if you could take pictures of the back of the case. So that I can see, how you handled the rats nest, which is what's really holding me back. For the back fan, how did you guys run the wire, so that it stays hidden? I was thinking of running it along the bottom of the case, towards the HDD rack, which seems like the only way? The rats nest that I have, is all unorganized, which causes a lot of my cables to be too short. Anyways, I love this case so far, size wise, this case makes my antec 900 look like an ant!

Hi,

1. I've just bought this case and I want to know for connecting the fans and leds, it's just enought to connect that molex labeled PWR IN and that's it ?
For what are the other 3-4 molex (Fan Out) and 2x3pin (Led Out) connectors ?

2. I've tryed some WM, I'll post some pics soon, but the back panel (non-Window), closed a bit forced, I had to push cables inside, and the bottom of the rear panel was a bit outside, I pressed and put the screw, is this ok ? Or you guys do a better WM, and the back panel close more smoothly ?

3. In front the left side can be pulled a bit outside (I mean the plastic piece which is from top to bottom near the bays), while the right is stucked, can't be dragged like the left one. Is mine left side broken since it can be pulled out for 2-3 mm ? Is there a missing screw ?
In the last picture (picture #4) I've drawn with red what I'm talking about. If I gently drag from the side that piece of plastic will gently come outside 2-3mm.

4. I've added pictures for the club. I'll add later better quality pics, I'm a bit pissed off now cause I changed also my memory and had some issues.

Thanks

They do exactly that, Fan out so additional fans can be connected, Led out for leds as in the stock fans.

I've noticed the version of this case that comes pre-painted black has a much tighter fit all around, only after reassembling my case did I have issues with the back panel. If its really bad then it could be a result of bad shipping.

That is not normal, possible damage in transportation.
