The black edition's price just dropped at newegg to $129.00 with free shipping. It had been at $149 + shipping for the longest time.

I haven't opened the extra box yet, but apparently it's a mouse pad. I believe it's one of the three? differences between the Black and original SS: black interior, 200mm side fan and the complimentary mouse pad.

Yeah thats a good question mav. Would have saved me a bunch of time in not painting my case

. ConB@S, I've had to put my system on hold until next semester's financial aid comes in. And by that time, the maturity of the p55 systems should be further along. And hopefully, there will have been a resolution to the foxconn socket problem on a lot of p55 boards. Since this is a "from the ground up build", I've had to start buying a few pieces here and there.

I am also wondering which fans you guys hook up to the fan controller. Here's what I was planning:

3 stock 200mm fans - fan controller
stock 120mm exhaust - mobo
Mugen 2 HS fan - mobo
140mm intake bottom - mobo
140mm intake 5.25" bay - mobo

Would you hook them all up to the fan controller? Some? None? What can the fan controller handle?

That looks about ok, but if you are going to use the 140 mm fans, I would suggest you daisy chain them at the rear of the mobo plate, so as to have a cleaner look. Also 140 mm at 1000 rpm are not too noisy.

You can hook up the 3 200's onto the fan controller as well as the 2 140's .

By the way can anyone here give me the specs of the 200 mm fans that come with this case? There seem to be two different versions available...
