Well try just one stick at a time. Always set the timings and volt's that are on the sticker or the RAM manually. Might have to update the BIOS.

Try those things first. Some RAM just does not work with some motherboards, if this is the case I would try and sell them and get something that is proven to work. If so, let me know and I will help you find some.

ver1.2

i read other post that it works but that the voltage needed to be changed
i really dont know what bios to flash to thatll work or if i have bad ram..
i contacted corsair they say if one module is bad theyll replace the set of modules. it wont boot me to bios. any help would be appreciated thanks..

Do you know that the board works? Do you have any other DDR2 you could put in it.
Are you sure the CPU is mounted correctly? Try and give me as much information as you can.

Use the OCZ 800's and flash the BIOS to the latest or last one made. That may help.

whats your ram speed 800mhz or 1066?? as ram thats rated as 800mhz is at a voltage of 1.88v or near, and most 1066 is 2.2 -2.3v

firstly make sure your ram is at the correct voltage ..

having too low or high voltage on the ram, will make it bsod also, in experience its mostly the ram that does it.
And the reference 0x50 is hardware in this case not wanting to play for whatever reason.

secondly try bringing the fsb down 10 - 15

And thirdly just try slackening the timings on the ram slightly eg 5,5,5,15 to 6,6,6,18 and put the timing 42 to 52 and try that...

if that fails look into further fsb reduction, changing your ram frequancy in relation to your front side bus eg: 960mhz at 1.1 ratio may be 840mhz at 12.10 ratio which would then allow for more headroom without whipping your ram to much, but you probably already know that smile.gif.

it also helps to write it all down, so when in the bios its easy to flick through settings and whatnot and have a reference when you get a bsod.

If these settings are then still giving you hassle

then i have another set that give you for the q9550.

i will mark what bits go where for what ram you have, 800-1066 and we will start from scratch.

also read below...

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

firstly check the System Log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help pinpoint the device or driver that is causing the error. Disabling memory caching of the BIOS might also resolve it.

Sorry to dig up a thread, but I really need help. Shaun2k I need your Q9550/TPower i45 setup with 8Gb of RAM all 4 slots or 2 if that is what you're running. (I have the exact same setup). I've been battling my computer for over a week and I have no idea why it all of a sudden started doing this. I ran it for 25 Intel Burn Test passes, but then I noticed I was crashing every once in a while; I first did a MemTest run which it failed so it was obvious the cause. Please give me a full BIOS setup (skipping the obvious/personal settings boot/floppy/etc). I appreciate it so much and hope to hear from you soon.

The odd part is 2 sticks passed last night for 20 passes of IBT while the other failed. However today I can't even get my OCZ Reaper 1066 sticks to pass with loose timings at 800mhz. Either I'm missing a major setting for even 4Gb (2x2Gb) or my Reapers have all gone to crap. I used to run a 3.75ghz with my Reapers @ 1060mhz for months with no problems until I started crashing after over a year at those speeds. I've spent probably over 100 hours testing settings in the built in memtest in BIOS and IBT. Need help badly.

Anyone feel free to throw advice, keep in mind my job is in IT with a specialty in hardware for my State Dept (support over 300 computers) and this has me stumped.

Welcome to OCN. I doubt the user you quoted still has the setup or is still around so I will try my best.
My guess is the sticks are starting to go bad. I would try and get the settings you want or at least the RAM speed and timings and run a program called memtest. It's an ISO that you need to boot from and let it run through all the tests about three times. If the RAM is bad or going bad it will tell you.
http://www.memtest.org/

Let me know how that works?

I have a TPower I45 (Biostar of course! smile.gif ) Motherboard. I got new memory for it. 2 4GB (8 GB total) of DDR2 800 Patriot Memory. Ever since I installed the memory it freezes anywhere from 10 seconds up to 2 hours after booting. Can anyone help me? Can this Motherboard HANDLE 4GB sticks of Memory in one slot??? If not, why does it show the specs as being able to have a maximum of 16GB. PLEASE someone help me! E-mail me at alias4ever99@gmail.com with all suggestions. Thank you SO MUCH I hope someone out there can help! biggrin.gif
