Hi, I am a new owner of TPower I45 and from the beginning i have a problem with it. I have two kits of this memory http://iskampc.com/4gb-corsair-dominator-pc8500-ddr2-1066mhz-5-5-5-15-dual-channel-kit-n.html and i have very big difficulty to make the motherboard work with all my memory of 8GB. After many hours of struggle, CMOS resets and a bottle of vodka i succeed to make the board work with all 4 memory modules at 800Mhz . Is there a way to make it work at 1066Mhz ?

Make sure the RAM volts are set manually and might have to give the NB some extra volts.

The RAM volts are set to 2.2V (2.1V is the default value for the memory), I'll rise the NB voltage and try 1066Mhz. On my old mobo - Gigabyte EP35-DS4 the RAM was extremely stable even during overclock on the Quad Q9550@3.7Ghz.. I hope with TPower I45 to be able to reach 4200Mhz (the CPU is capable of 4200 stable for 24/7). The guy, who sold me the mobo, says that the mobo feels much better with A-DATA or G.Skill memories. I wander why is that ? And why from Biostar haven't correct that with a new BIOS ?

Some RAM just dose not run correctly or at all on some boards. It's not something that can be fixed with a BIOS update.

I have succeeded to run the PC with all 4 modules at 1066Mhz. Windows 7 boots normally, everything works normally, but on intel burn test there are errors, and the benchmark says that the system is not stable . My config is as follows:

Intel Speed Step tech - DISABLED
Ratio CMOS Setting - 333 (this is the default for Q9550)
FSB (Bsel) to NorthBridge Latch - 1333
FSB Compensation FineTune - Enabled
DRAM Frequency - 1066
DDR2 Enhanced Mode - Enabled

In DRAM Timign Configuration the changes are as follows:

DDR2 RCOMP Configuration - Configuration 1 (if Configuration 2 is choose - the PC do not starts and the only way is to reset the CMOS jumper)
Static tREAD Value (PL) - Auto
Configure DRAM Timing by SPD - Enabled (5,5,5,15 exactly as they are recommended from corsair)

In Clock Gen Configuration I haven't change anything

PCIE Frequency Setting - 100
CPU Clock Skew Control - Auto
(G) MCH Clock Skew Control - Auto
CPU Clock Driving Control - Auto

In CPU Configuration :

C1E Support - Disabled
CPU TM function - Disabled
Intel (R) C-STATE tech - Disabled
Core Multi-Processing - Enabled

And finally the Voltage Configuration:

CPU Voltage - + 0.100 (for every case if needed)
DDR Voltage - + 0.300 (tried even + 400, but no difference), whitch makes ~ 2.1V ( ~ 2.2V)
Chipset Voltage - +0.250 (whitch makes ~1.325)
FSB Voltage - +0.250 (whitch makes ~1.334)
CPU Core1 GTL Ref voltage - [0.63*VTT] (i haven't change this)
CPU Core2 GTL Ref voltage - [0.67*VTT] (i haven't change this)
MCH GTL Ref voltage - Auto
CPU PLL Voltage - 1.5V

I am missing something, somewhere, but i don't understand where exactly. I haven't try yet DDR2 RCOMP Configuration - Configuration 3 and 4. My target now is to make the system stable with all 8Gb RAM at 1066Mhz speed. To find the good parameters for the RAM and after that to begin with the real overclock of the CPU.

Well, if you are going to OC the CPU you should run the RAM slower anyway. Set it to 800 Mhz and OC the CPU which will give you much higher gains over RAM and then when your done with the CPU you go back and try and tweak the RAM. If you fall between 800-1066 Mhz when your done, you should be happy.

LOL, no problem. I have not had this board for years but if you need some help with the settings let me know and we will see what we can do.

I have tried different things almost all night. First removed half of the memory and tried overclock only wit 4 GB and hit 4.25Ghz, but Windows 7 didn't boot, i tried different things and something got wrong with the RAID and one of the two disks got lost, so i have to delete the whole RAID and to rebuild it again (it is stripe with two 250GB disks and i put Windows and all programs on it). The installation passed very well on 4.16 Ghz but intel burn test freezes. Tried to rise the voltages - CPU - 1.45, NB and FSB - 1.35, RAM - 2.4 but there was no positive result. Finally make the overclock to 4 Ghz and lower the voltages for the CPU to 1.35 and for the RAM to 2.3 and passes successufully intel burn test with no errors and no freezes. Tonight i think to try wit all 8 GB to see wiil it work with all memory modules. Now CPU Frequency settings is 470 and DRAM Frequency is 940. I hoped to reach CPU Frequency 533 and DRAM Frequency 1066 but i thing that the mobo doesn't want to work with the memory at this frequency. The highest DRAM frequency thah i have succeeded to reach stable is 527. The CPU is capable of 4200Mhz, and the board is capable too of 4200Mhz with Q 9550. From other side the corsair memory is capable of 533. Maybe i am not doing something right ? I have tried the overclock with both DDR2 RCOMP Configuration - Configuration 3 and 4 and didn't find difference between them, the mobo behaves the same way with no difference.

Sounds like heat is your limiting factor or the RAM.
The differance between 4 and 4.2 is hardly noticable so I would not go out a spend money on RAM unless you absolutly had to reach 4.2.
