Had a hard time getting it to boot at 500+ FSB, regardless of voltages. Vcore ranging from 1.5-1.9. Used guides, tinkered with skews, and all voltages imaginable but couldn't get 5 ghz. Close, but no cookie. Was very unpredictable and capricious with bootable settings. Actually seemed to do better with pot temps in the -60's than it did in the -70's. Makes me wonder if it's worth trying LN2......Yep, it is.
was my max validation at 550 X 9. Not too bad for a C0 E8400, but I did want more.
I've been holding off on getting an E8600 waiting for the E8700. But they're probably never really going to be released at this point.
