Prototype Resolution Problem

Thread Starter
The native resolution on my desktop is 1280x720. On every game i play i play at 1280x720 (works fine). i just got prototype and whenever i select it to use 1280x720 the screen goes black (you know how it goes) but, it stays black long enough for the game to switch it back to 1024x768. wth. I ran it in compatibility mode for XP service pack 2 but still no luck.

Well Prototype requirements say XP SP 3 or Vista SP 2. Do you have the latest drivers? If not trying updating if that doesn't help try rolling back.

Resolution problem here aswell.

Can't put higher resolutions than 1280x800, but I also can't set AA higher than 2x. Random crashes aswell. May go a day or two without a single crash, or may crash at the entering logos. None of these problems occurs with any other application so system should be stable

I have LG 24" 1080p display as primary and the rig below.

Wondered if the secondary graphics card could cause this, or the multi-display setup?

If you're having trouble setting your resolution and AA higher all you need to do is start the game in windowed mode. This unlocks all the video options, then you can just set it back to fullscreen mode when you have the settings the way you want.

Old trick, tried already . All it did was locked resolution to 640x480 and noAA. Thanks for reply though
