My new build!

Thread Starter
Right, I actually built this on the 29th of May, but only got around to take pictures this evening! Anyway, her she is. Specs are in my sig, plus a few extra hard drives which aren't listed in the sig:

Yes, I have not done cable management yet. Also, the PSU is non-modular, so all cables must be inside. Also, my dark night takes up the first RAM slot completely and a little tiny bit of the second, so that is why I have my RAM in slots 3 and 4, which should be dual channel with my motherboard. I was on a somewhat tight budget, so that is why I only have a 450w PSU and the HD4670.

By all means please tell me what you think and what I could improve as this was my first ever build that I actually built myself! I am really happy with how it turned out.

I have a question. Why are your sticks of ram next to each other? I was sure that they needed to be in each other spot for dual channel.

Not all boards are like that, My board I currently have uses dual channel in either SLOT 1&2 or SLOT 3&4

Look at that, learned something new today.

Besides that, nice build. I just bought a second case thats also a CM690. Im throwing all the fans away and keeping the shrouds for my WC loop, but replacing them with better fans. CM stock fans suck. IMO. I have two CM cases, and both have no original fans. Also, love the Dark Knight, great cooler. Its what I got right now, and what going to be going into the 690.

Nice, and might I add, excellent choice of PSU!

AMD boards are set up so that stick 1 and stick 2 for each channel are next to each other. My guess is it is to avoid confusion but there may be some other reasoning behind it.

A tad to slow my friend. It was already explained. But thanks for your input.

Oh, and I second the good choice on the Corsair PSU. They are great.
