no it doesn't, it just makes sure steam can only connect to the gamearena/internode servers and in turn make all the data unmetered (good for us aussies with download caps )

You do know steam has a built in feature for this now?

I Believe Steam also uses others if you haven't selected them for your best connection or doesn't have the content.

It doesn't work perfectly as the OP had said. The difference between steamwatch and steams method is that steam puts it at the top of the list for download locations but doesn't force it from downloading from other servers. Steamwatch blocks every server but the selected server so it only downloads from the one you selected.

Maybe you should come over here and give it a try

It really is crap though, i download heaps of mods and patches ect. for my PC and it easilt used 3/4 of my download limit (only 12gb for $80AU)
