Clarification, is the CPU stable at 4.4Ghz with memory at stock? I only ask because you mention putting more voltage to the CPU, which will have little effect on RAM.
When I'm at 4.4ghz, I can get into windows at around 1.39v, and Ive cranked it up to 1.45v to try to get it stable. It acts the same in p95 whether its 1.39v or 1.45v. (It fails at a minute into the test or so.)
Because of such a voltage increase to the CPU, this leads me to believe that the ram is the issue and causing the p95 errors. Especially since the ram fails memtest when I'm at 4.4ghz CPU and because I cant even post if the cas latency is 7.
But at the same time, these memtest failures are happening when the ram is set to below factory specs. 928mhz.
I still dont know the answer to this question: Can the ram fail memtest if the cpu is unstable? Even if the ram is below factory specs?
Should the ram always pass memtest while at or below factory specs, as long as the cpu is stable?
Why would changing the cas to 7, fail post?
So yeah, Im not sure whats causing the problem
Sorry if I'm being a pain in the ass. Thanks for the help guys.
Ill try to lower the cpu clock speed and see what happens too
