Hello I'm browsing here for information on air cooling, TIM, and water cooling. The reason is that it is hot and humid here in Georgia with no rain for a while. Temps. are hovering in the upper 90s outside and my i7 rig is just too hot for my small room. Ambient temp. inside is 79*F. I'm trying to figure out a way to cool the CPU down greatly, as it puts out a tremendous amount of heat.
The fans from my Zalman heatsink and ATCS 840 case aren't enough to cool the system down. I was thinking about replacing my heatsink and fans with either more fans & and a new heatsink or just go with a water cooling set-up that will cool my CPU only. Money is really tight and I just recently got back to work. That's why I'm open to suggestions on modifying my ATCS 840 case to run cooler. At 2.8GHz, temps are around 48*C idle and 68*C when I play Team Fortress 2. I'm going back to PC gaming after 11 years of absence.
I use other forums too like SLI Zone, silentpcreview, and xtremesystems for advice on my rig.
