If I remember correct, the G60 has the 7200rpm hard-drive and the G72 only has the 5400rpm hard-drive.
Oh and the G72 is only $100 more @ Best Buy. I got the G60 because it was little bit smaller to be easier portability. From what I gathered the batter life on both are about the same.
That's where I have been looking. When I get my refund, I don't want to have to order one, I want to be able to just go pick it up. I was in Best Buy last night looking at both the G60 and the G72. Something about the bigger screen, faster processor, and 2gbs extra ram for only $100 more is too nice to pass up.
As I was looking at it, I was realizing just how big the thing actually is. It's a beast! (But that's a good thing in my book.) I also checked out the thread that Tim4 (I think) made about the performance with games, made me quite happy.
Overall I think I will end up picking up the G72. Tax refund won't be mailed to me until the 15th (here's to hoping it finds it's way to my house within a couple days of that date.) If so I should "hopefully" have it by the end of next week.
Edit: Also, I've heard a few people in the review thread say it's best to use the recovery discs to wipe the OS and start with a fresh install. Now, I'm knowledgeable about most stuff, but if someone would be nice enough to post how to do this, or PM me how to do this cleanly so as to not potentially screw anything up on a brand new thousand dollar laptop lol. I'd appreciate it.Edited by Marafice Eye - 2/9/10 at 4:26am
