Custom 62mm TEC Water block - Page 27

We should think of make a TEC block making thread, there is some really good and unusual information in this thread that could be useful for others attempting to do the same thing. I'm wondering though if you added holes in the top would it increase the turbulence too much?

Since i've come up with a nifty way of applying the cut out in solid worked it's given me the ability to try a few more idea..

I dont think this one worked out

i think that last one does work out (it has way more blue, and between the blue its also less hot. but there just are large patches that go without any of the pockets...

Here's some more. This time with shallower cutout's now it should have been less restrictive... And i thinck it's not co i for got to put a step down under the inlet in the last three. DOH

May have to do them again

here's the last one again with the step down .. it's made quite a big difference to the pressure as i expected.

Im gonna re do the others too. This step down is probably 1mm to deep but id rather it be to deep than to shallow at the moment

The step seems to have dropped the temps a little too? Doesn't seem like a bad thing!

I am in the brainstorming stages of making an xbox laptop, and I was wondering, would you be interested in making a custom waterblock for it? I want to try and make the laptop as thin as possible, so i was thinking would it be possible to have the barbs coming out of the side of the block instead of the top?

YES

Yes but then the block would be thicker to allow this . it would need to be about an inch high
