HWMonitor.. what are the TMPIN#?

post #1 of 11
Thread Starter
Hey,

my HWMonitor is showing TMPIN 0,1,2. what are these values exactly?

i have read that 0 should be cpu, 1 is nb, and 2 is sb, but 0 doesnt match my cpu temp so i dont know

i am using the gigabyte ma790fxt ud5p
post #2 of 11
TMPIN 2 could be the mosfets. Try placing a fan by them and see if the temps go down.

Got this from hardwarecanucks.com:

BIOS - HWMonitor - Everest
SYS = TMPIN0 = Motherboard
CPU = TMPIN1 = CPU
MCH = TMPIN2 = Northbridge

Not sure if it's accurate, but I'm concerned about the temp that says "System" shows 85-86C Everything else is well below 50C and I've been googling trying to figure out what it is

If that is true for every motherboard... then my northbridge seriously catches on fire. I've seen it pass 80c many times.

post #8 of 11
am using GA-MA785GT-UD3H

the TMPIN0 is system, TMPIN1 is CPU and TMPIN2 is NB knew it when I was using DFI Guardian Utility and then comparing the temp with CPUIDHW Monitor and SpeedFan

while when I use GFI-DK790FXB-M3H5 (which is in RMA process) the TPMIN0 is CPU TMPIN1 is sys and TMPIN2 is NB

Hope this help out
