little devil phase cooling question about compressor..

Little Devil has notified me that he only has 220v compressor available. Sadly I live in the U.S. (110v/120v) Any suggestions on alternatives?

Use a transformer. I have a subwoofer purchased in Dubai and its power brick only runs on 220V. I picked up a little transformer (make sure you get one that matches the voltage of your equipment) and it's been working fine through the transformer for 3 years around.

A transformer is a viable option, but really only for a last resort, and normally when you're going to a SLOWER hz rating. You'd be going to a HIGHER hz rating.

Best off contacting a US builder.

You are aware that two legs of 110v = 220v right? How far are you from the breaker box in your house? If it's feasible to run your own wire, i.e. not snake through a bunch of walls and up floors etc., you can buy a breaker at a hardware store and run your own 220, assuming you have room left in the breaker panel, and you know what you're doing.

I'm probably not much help, but just a thought. My air compressor is 220, and I didn't have a 220 outlet, so I made my own

HZ rating is the real problem. It is NOT okay to run a compressor 6/5 faster That's a big speed bump. Plus shipping.

yep NoL is correct, plus shipping would be total rape. When I have the money I will buy one from NoL

I may just skip this watercooling trend, and go for phase heh. hint hint**if anyone is interested in phase cooling, read up on it! lots to learn about this method.
