Thanks for the nice guide can you tell me why you changed the name of ArmA2.exe to Crysis.exe and then made a shortcut? why not just make a shortcut from the ArmA2.exe.

For those who bought ArmA 2 boxed:

1. Copy Arma2.exe and rename it to Crysis.exe
2. Make a shurtcort to crysis.exe
3. Add the following parameters:

That was an old way to force crossfire to run on the game. Crossfire now runs normally without that trick if you're running cat 9.7's or newer

Man, my 9500GT has no hope in running this at least 30 constant. Hoping to win a contest for a 9800GT. If not, well, I've already got some money saved up for a GTX260.

Nope, that card doesn't stand a chance.

Hey guys,
I have XPS 1730 , X7900+8800GTX SLI. 200Gb HDD raid 0, 4GB ram.
I want to play ARMA2. I have done lots of homework, log in various web site, read many threads post by many people.
So I tried to install the NVIDA Sli patch, tried the EVGA SLi patch, tried the nhancer. No matter what I did, I just seem no FPS increase when enable Sli in the game.
Funny thing is, when I open the NVIDA Control Panel, disable the SLi, then I find out I gain 5 fps increase in the game. Wow, that is crazy, ARMA2 on my XPS1730 run quickly in single card mode rather than Sli mode.

I did exactly what you said. But get the resoult as follow:
Text software: ARMA2-MARK V1.0

When Install Drive version 191.07
Disable SLI : 2044.45 makrs.
Enable SLI: 1920.35 makrs.

When Install Drive version 190.38
Disable SLI : 1946.31 makrs.
Enable SLI: 1790.19 makrs.

When install other drivers like 186.81 for laptop version. Marks are similar, just between 1900.00-2000.00

It seems that there is no different between enable SLi or disable Sli. And Even disable Sli is alittle better.
So what should I do?

I haven't done any testing on mobile chips.

When you shut off GPU 2 you free up work for the CPU/NB which may increase the FPS.

I would wait for a newer driver and install the NVidia SLI patch, not the EVGA one. (Link is in guide somewhere)
