I have tested NVIDIA's IGPU as a dedicated PhysX option, but it isn't an option really.

If you look through my thread Formula Black Build Log, you will see that I have done what your talking about, also having the same results, but with mx-2, I found you don't need to o.c. the southbridge at all with SLI, and as far as the northbridge heat is concerned, it is mostly due to the voltage on it bumping up, when you put in 1066 ram , or four sticks of 800.

Thats right. in a lian li case. I got 8 fans in this thing and don't ask about airflow, that's all good! Replaced the termal goo with artic silver. no differance...maybe 2-3c lower but thats it. I have a sli rig and one of the gtx260 core 216 65 nm ( before anyone asks) is right against the SB. No overclocking possible or the damn thing overheats and shuts down. cpu is watercooled and overclocked using the mp. can't raise sb voltage or ht voltage damn thing fries. Nice job asus!!! You screwd up on this one. Looks good at first but after futher examination I would have to say that it doesn't do what you expect it to do.
On a side note, I've been trying to contact Asus about a bios update for the Crosshair II to support the upcoming Phenom II 1090T but am going no where, the cpu is currently not supported under the support list they released, if anyone knows anything post back please.Edited by JieMan - 4/21/10 at 11:47am
