Here's the low down: rad must mount external on back. Here's how I did it:

The rad is securely supported and does not suffer any stresses nor does the chassis of the A1200.
It's one of those simple yet effective solutions that actually required several processes to effect. Have a look at what's involved.

Rad needs to go here (chassis is face down on the protective pad).

I determined the length of the all thread rods and stand offs and cut them.

Each rod gets a cone shape ground on the end with the benchgrinder and then is re-threaded with a die.

The PA120.3 get's tapped to 8-32 to match the rods.

A nylock stop nut secures the rod to the rad.

Spacers are cut to prevent the fan frame from deforming under the load.

The fan is modified to accept the spacers using a saw and pliers to remove these little tabs

I used screws just to show...but the radiator housing is too thin to expect it to hold screws without using stop nuts...which could be a real PITA to the end user...hence the all thread.

I am using thumbscrews because the rad will ship seperate from the case to avoid damage in transit. I want it easy for the end user to assemble.
