The real Green Machine (lots of pics, have fun 56K) - Page 13

insulation is simple as .. i've done the pics just have to create a story to go with them

i wouldn't bother waiting for it to harden, what difference does it make if it's soft?

No clue, LOL.

So I just checked your thread on these plates again. It seems you used neoprene on the plates themselves too? How did you wrap that?

Yikes.

I had my hand in the case, "slipped" and landed with a finger in a UK3000 that was spinning in the opposite direction that my finger was pointing to.

It ripped off the entire skin off of the fingers cap. Fun times.

no i didn't you neoprene. how ever you can get adhesive neoprene tape it's just expensive

i used adhesive window foam tape like this

http://www.todae.com.au/Products/ins...framefoamseal/

I then rapped it in electrical insulation tape

like so

it's important that the foam protrudes below the surface of the clod plate as this makes a seal against the socket which will have electrical tape over it too with foam in between the caps and so on.

Well thats how i did .it . The perfect way to do it is here
http://www.overclock.net/peltiers-te...-mobo-tec.html

You'll probably need to insulate the back of the motherboard too .. depending on how well it works

I'm a bit stuck on the insulation process of the TEC setup. If anyone has some experience with this kind of work, please PM me ASAP.

Sorry for all the delay guys, I haven't been around to work on the project for the last day, and I only have a few hours before I'm away for the weekend, so I'll try to get as much as possible done and get another update out before I leave.
