Resident Evil 5 PC Thread - Page 30

It is indeed set in the bios of my mobo. This is the first quad I've owned though so I don't know if it's possible to do the same thing on all board/proc combos.

Thx for the rep btw

What's the word on the new ATI drivers?

I'm still getting the break after the second level where my FPS drops from the hundreds to the tens.

Considering it's just now the second of august, they're probably 2 or more weeks away.

Anyone else notice that AA doesnt really seem to work and just decreases performance?

Well for me AA only drops my FPS like 10fps so it does not make much difference. As for telling the difference i can see it a bit but not too much and i use 4AA.

I mean the new beta drivers.
this is very strange indeed:

Normal DX10 runthrough

No real problems

Normal DX9 runthrough

Runs better than DX10, but then breaks.

DX9 EXE renamed to Grid.exe

Runs worse than DX9, but stays stable.

DX9 EXE renamed to fear2.exe

Runs as good as DX9 should, maintains stable, but there are slight graphical flickers.

seriously what is this ****

What the ....?
That's crazy. I may have to try this lol.

well it's really only good if your game totally breaks, because this seems to fix that problem (and create more, but minor ones)
