Brkbeatjunkie, I'm not positive but I think that is the voltage control for the chipset on your motherboard (reference clock speed).

Specification wise your power supply is fine. I did the math and you should have around 46 amps total on the 12volt rail. The efficiency rating is at 86% which is great. If you have a multimeter handy you could check the voltages(12volt, 5volt and 3.3volt) to make sure they are within spec. I recommend measuring them at idle and under load. If you decide to do this here is the guide I follow: http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/guide...ing-guide.html. If the voltages aren't within spec during full load then this may explain why you keep experiencing instability. Unfortunately this is just ONE of the things that can cause instability

Good luck

thanks think3r for your time.

I got up this morning to start afresh overclocking. i lowerd my tRAS and tRC, so my timings are: 5-5-5-18-23-2T. This seemed to help greatly i have now got 206x17, with RAM OC!!! ive never been able to get a ram OC yet: now its running at 1100Mhz! im going to test for stability and hopefully find something around 3.6ghz for my CPU.

EDIT: im looking for as much gaming performance as possible. to my understanding that should involve OC'ing every part right? I was thinking of bumping up the CPU-NB multi so i could get a clock of >2200Mhz for the NB. Any suggestions would be prime!! i think im going to get somewhere today!!!

You should shoot for a nb frequency around 2600-2800mhz. It's a good overclock and fairly easy to achieve with a 955.
