Getting 150fps+ on CSS with max settings, is this good for this spec? My old p4 could muster up 100fps constantly with low settings... ima try it with no AA/AF and see what I get.

Pics will be up tomorow when its light =]

Dude, please, when you get the moneys, do this:

1. Buy 2 4890X2's (are they out yet?)
2. Quad-Fire them

Then see what insane FPS you get.

Nah, I havent overclcoked any of it yet, not planing to until I get a good source of cooling.

A few questions for you all though -

Is the 4890 meant to run hot? I know it uses two power inputs but I didnt think it would be that hot...

What are the normal voltages for the Q6600? I think my mobo is under-clocking it :|

That is all ;D

Will get pics up soon! going to have breakfast & a shower first

You can find out the voltage for the Q6600 by running CoreTemp and looking in the "VID" field. It should be around 1.25-1.3v. Lower if you have a really good chip

Intel Speedstep is proabably enabled as well which will underclock the CPU when you are not doing anything intensive.

Once you get a CPU cooler turn SpeedStep off for OC'ing.

Thanks Guys, im downloading the program now, gonna check the voltage

[edit] core temp says its running at 1.1625v, is that alright? [/edit]

And yeah, I read about speedstep but cant find out how to turn it off? do you do it in the BIOS? I think it makes my mouse lag behind every time it turns on...

alsooo, why do I have a floppy drive on windows XP? I dont even have one installed :| Ive uninstalled it multipule times, but XP keeps re-installing it D:

Thanks again, your help is much aprrrrrreciated =]

Yeh SpeedStep is in the BIOS, it will be under power saving options or CPU options, something like that...
