How to Run OCZ gold ddr3 at 1600

i have the OCZ Gold DDR3 1600 memory but for some reason my computer is setting it to 1067.

what can i do to get it to spec settings. this is my first time changing RAM settings so simple steps would be good.

have the same ram you need to go into the bios and go into the memory option and change the settings. Changing settings is pretty much self explanatory.

so would i set the voltage to 1.65v and change the 1067 to 1600?

well i tried and didnt work, guess i didnt do something right BUT i have the core i7 920 that is supposed to be running stock at 2.66 but when i check it says its at 2.93, did i change that somehow or is that common if not how do i change it since i dont want to strain my system

multiplier to 12 from 8, voltage to 1.66 and timings to correct timings that are suggested.. probably 8-8-8-24, 1600 will be new speed.
