Fatty Beef;
You're right. Dragon Age is light years better than Mass Effect in the texture dept. I can see what you're talking about with the porting as well. Lazy asses.. lol

I can't see why they wouldn't want the PC version to be better simply because it would't matter to the console gamer. Its not like they are going to go out and buy a gaming PC to forsake the XBOX version. If they have and XBOX, they are going to get it for XBOX.

I saved the Bracilian Forest for later in the game. I have to admit, it was a brilliant little story [To do with Zathrian and the Werewolves]. Most immersive story in the game so far and really sad.

Yea thats a good point to. There seems to be a threshold overall most developers dont want to push past right now even with the technology the way it is. Not only EA but we can also blame the netbook owners who expect every game to run at full settings becuase a computer is a computer is a computer and they have enough rams and FPS to do anything :swearing:

But back to the game haha, I liked the forest one. Nice twist at the end which made it that much more interesting.

And Im pretty sure this has been mentioned before but having someone with decent lockpicking at all times in your party is so key regardless if they do next to 0 DPS. I havent really looked but is there a spell to open locks?

Yeah, I pretty much keep Leliana with full on lockpicking skills with me at all times. Unless I am just going in for a straight up battle.

Speaking of a battle. I just got done beating Gaxkang the Unbound. HOLY CRAP was that guy hard. I guess if you have the right spells and strategy he is very beatable. I've read the Curse of Mortality and something else really helps. Leave it to me though. I had really nothing in Morrigan's rep that helped. I made her pretty much a cold damage mage since I thought the darkspawn and dragons would be the worst of my problems. Well suffice to say the cold damage did NOTHING to Gaxkang so she was worthless as hell as a damage dealer. So I ended up going in with Wynne, Shale, Alistair and my DW Warrior.

Good god.. I fought him for, no crap, like 20 minutes thanks to his self healing. But about 35 lesser health poultices later and Wynne's non-stop healing, I finally beat the SOB.

Easily hardest fight in the game for me so far. You get a nice little reward for the hard work though.

Hehehe. Should have gone up the enthropy tree with Morrigan. Keeping the Curse of Mortality debuff up on an enemy like that would have helped you a lot. It prevents them from being targeted by healing effects.

Spirit and ice poultrices to survive his spells, a templar with high spell resist to drain mana and pound him and mana clash for cheapness. He can't heal if he has no mana .

Same happened to me at first, make your party wait at the top of the last hill, then attack them at range ONE at a time and they will come to you one at a time

Works well for a while then they rush me.... hmmm Wonder if I need Alister rather than Lilanna? Your party members in camp still gain experience when not in the party right?
