So my EVO arrived yesterday along with the rest of my order (excluding the P8P67 Deluxe MB) and as I look at the Corsair H70, I notice that it recommends a push/pull intake configuration. I wanted to know, how do you recommend I orient the airflow through the H70 radiator? An intake would bring in cooler air, but give the case an uneven flow of air whereas an exhaust would provide for even air movement, but warmer air crossing the radiator. Catch 22, huh? T77, I know you had some experience running an H50 in the Tempest, what was your observation?

hey Don Queso, i had recently changed my fan orientation whereas the fans intake cool air instead of an exhaust. You would want a uneven flow of air in this case to be more intake and a concentrated zone of exhaust fans that promote the theory of warm air rising. since i put my tower pretty much on the ground where my desk is at, it intakes much cooler air, and increases in cfm due to pressure from outside the case. when i used this config my temps dropped down by 10 degrees Fahrenheit. before, i had a less positive airflow when i did the previous orientation and i also noticed that the mb and ram temps increased as well because more heat was moving across it . i recommend making it as an intake so that you'll have higher pressure in the case, more cooler zones, as well as a direct-direction for the flow of warmer air in this case.

Welcome to the club Badboyz!

Your Evo looks nice! quick question though, why do you have all you fans exhausting? you may be creating negative air pressure within your case.

damn, that looks really good! I have heard of people taking the side panel of a cheap case and just cutting/ bending it. Or you can get some sheet metal and paint it satin black (or whatever matches the case).
