What do you mean by barley? Will I be able to close the side panel with this installed?
V6GT is better than the V8, and I think the V6GT is a little bit taller (3-4mm)
Ugh, Evo has a clearance of 160mm, I really hope it can fit 4mm more frown.gif

I just measured from Motherboard to window there is roughly 7.2 Inches of space there and the V6 measures 6.5 Inches in length so you should be good to go. thumb.gif

Although the V6 will fit in the tempest I must ask why you wouldn't go with even a corsair H50? Those Hydro series are really nice. rolleyes.gif

Edit:
I'm actually about to mod my H50 to support a 280mm Rad up top and I'm adding an Inline Fillport on the cables so I won't need a Res and I'll still gain the benefits of a custom loop. tongue.gif

I did seriously consider Corsair's H series (was looking more towards a H60 or H80), but then stumbled across dozens of reviews which showed that unless you go all out for the H100, there is only very very slight advantages (none in some circumstances) to going for the H series, so I just stuck with what I know (being air cooling).

I think that in time I will go WC, but it won't be all that soon, and would probably go fully custom loop.

I still laugh at people who think the Hydro series isn't a real WC kit. The Hydro series uses a Radiator to disperse the heat carried into it by the water that was transferred there by a pump. The only thing missing there is a reservoir which you don't "technically need".

Wheres the H50~H80 only have 120mm Radiators with them, you wouldn't see much of an improvement over a Hydro series if you had a custom loop with only a 120 Rad on it, Actually I dare say you wouldn't see a 2C drop anytime on a custom loop with that setup. That being said, the only game changer with a custom loop is a bigger radiator which would allow better heat dissipation provide you had the proper fans installed to help whisk away the heat. I will be reusing my H50s pump and built in CPU block and adding a 280 Radiator to the top of my case to allow better heat dissipation, but in all reality the H50 does me enough justice that I don't "need" the 280 rad but I have been wanting to do this mod for quite some time. tongue.gif

I'm not bashing the Hydro series, far from it smile.gif

I just meant that I found lots of conflicting claims, and since I couldn't find any proper impartial evidence for either side, or someone who had actually experimented using the Hydro series and compared it to air coolers, I decided to stay with air cooling as I'm already pretty familiar with it.

My cooler suits my needs pretty darn well at the moment too, so I'm golden for now thumb.gif

Lastly, no offence was meant to advocates of H-series coolers, or WC in general smile.gif

I didn't mean to make it seem as though I was offended I was merely making a comment about people who do bash, I knew you weren't bashing or otherwise demeaning the units. And compared to my Thermaltake Frio this H50 keeps my processor roughly 10 degrees cooler.

I was merely trying to state the difference between a custom loop and a closed loop hydro series. thumb.gif
