I have a tempest EVO and wanted to know if the hoses for the H50 are long enough to put the radiator on the front intake fan. I have moved one of the fans to the top of the front of the case, and that's the one I plan on using. Has anyone tried this?

The H50 will not reach the front panel fans without the help from 4~5 120mm fan shrouds. redface.gif

make that 2~3 just re-examined the distance, you could always zip tie the rad to the HDD cages. thumb.gif

Thanks for the reply. I really don't want the air from the back of my case being sucked in by the fans. Do you think I would be okay using the fans on the radiator as exhaust on the back of my case? I don't have the side panel with the window and fan anymore, I replaced it with the same kind of panel that's on the right side of the case. That means I have no intake on the side of my case, just a regular black panel. Will this affect the cooling of this system?

Can I be added to the EVO list on the front page of this thread? I now own both versions of this case.

When I mounted my H50 on the rear fan port I found that inverting at least one of the top fans as intake dropped my CPU temp at least 3~4 degrees but removing the rear fan grill/mesh helped a ton. Even without the aforementioned tasks the H50 was designed to be used in conjunction with the rear exhaust location. thumb.gif

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but I thought using a top mounted fan as intake would be counter productive?

when your system runs as hot as mine does every ounce of cool air helps, but in the average joe's setup it would be very counter productive. lachen.gif

I will be adding the 280 rad up top so It will be reversed again when I'm done with my system rebuild.

Ahh right rolleyes.gif think I get it now tongue.gif

Anyways, I keep forgetting that the majority of people here would have OC'd their system (hence the site name, duh! doh.gif). I've personally not gone down that route (yet), as I've never done it before so have zero experience, and so far have been thinking about aesthetics over outright performance.
