Hey guys. I have a tempest 410 elite and i recently bought an h100 and was thinking if I turned the rear exhaust fan to intake would it make a differnce? I'm wondering if the exhaust fan is stealing some of the air and would be better to give the rad a breath of cool air rather than taking out some of the warm air. My case fans are as followed: front intake, rear exhaust and top exhaust. If anyone else has tired this and can share the results that'd be great.

-thanks

As long as you have proper exhaust in your case to whisk away the heat pumped into your system by the Hydro series you'll be fine. Although I must point out that the H100 is a 240Radiator meaning it is a dual 120mm radiator and that you won't see the full benefits of mounting it in the manner because all that heat from the 240 radiator will be pointed back at your case which will raise the overall system temp by a few degrees. But hey experimenting is what makes us all smarter in the end. thumb.gif

Hey guys! Shamelessly bumping my build log here, but if anyone would like to help me pick an official name for my build, head on over and vote. If you've got a suggestion for a different name, let me know smile.gif

Thanks! I prefer Vortex too, so I'm glad it's in the lead haha. Also, the progress for my build's been a bit slower than I hoped, but it is getting there. thumb.gif

As you all know I have been up to my mischievious self and been hard at work modifying my tempest once again. Since my last update I have cut out the top bezel to hold my Black Ice Stealth 280 Radiator and I must say the results are nice.

I have to admit though that after more than 48 hours of loop bleeding I was still unsuccessful to remove the bubbles trapped in the line due to the odd setup I have. I was attempting to modify my Corsair H50 with the 280 rad with no fill port or res. I was essentially trying to create another closed loop system with the H50 pump and 280 radiator but I couldn't for the life of me bleed the loop properly so I got fed up with not having a computer so I put it all back together. I will attempt this again soon when I get some money. and I might just make a real loop out of it.

Meanwhile some pics of my fine work. biggrin.gif

The 280 rad snugly fitting inside the top bezel just as I imagined it. tongue.gif

Word of advice:
The Antec 620 Kuhler sucks! My load temps are so high you don't want to know and the Idle temps suck. mad.gif

It's a pity the loop didn't bleed properly, I was looking forward to seeing the finished look tongue.gif The work you've done with the dremel is really good though smile.gif

Thanks, Plastic is a pain to cut with a dremel cause it melts as you are cutting. I do plan to continue the WC loop but this time I will acquire a real pump, Res, and CPU block. thumb.gif

Edit:
I think the 280 rad fit in there so nicely, I just can't wait to see it in action. biggrin.gif
