What gave you that Idea? We don't hate the other tempests we just try to compile our knowledge on the original Tempest/Evo variants. In fact if you scroll back a hundred pages I said at one point that I wanted the new tempests to be part of our club, however it was unanimously decided that it would be more efficient to concentrate on the original variants. thumb.gif

On another note, I have my new motherboard in and I', just waiting on some cash to purchase the 2600K and some 2100Mhz ram to go with it. When I do get around to it, I am going to completely rewire my tempest and find new interesting ways to run cables behind the motherboard tray. Over the last year I have had to cram so much behind there that my back panel is warped a good bit. If I can find a way to organize them all properly then I'm probably going to order a new side panel from NZXT. I'm also reversing my 280 Rad so the barbs will be inside the case therefore it won't take as much tubing and I there will less resistance for the pump which hopefully will translate into lower temps. biggrin.gif

Haha biggrin.gif This is so true. The tempest is such a great modders case. Every time I start thinking it might be nice to get a new case I'm like "Nah I'l just mod the tempest some more" thumb.gif In fact I have some overhauling planed for later this year. Some more radical cuts for a better fitting water loop, perhaps a new paint job. Oh yes I still have some big plans for this baby biggrin.gif

I remember that decision. Seemed good at the time, but maybe opening up to other Tempest variants would bring more faces into the community, fresh ideas, etc.

Something to mull over at any rate thumb.gif

TIP:
When attaching the fans and shrouds in a stack like this use diagonal screw placement, without doing this it is impossible to screw them together. Also make sure you have a slender screwdriver at hand that can go into those mounting holes. Another Huge point of advice would be to make sure the fans you use have the open space between each mounting point. You don't want fans with mounting points that look like this:

thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif thank you s0o much for sharing me this info...i'm s0o excited to build this but my idea is to use some ziptie and i'm planning to use 5 fans...i'll just post some pics when i'm done... thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Has anyone else seen NZXT's new HUE RGB LED Controller? It certainly looks good, may be tempted to pick it up after it's released.

Yeah I've been eying it myself for awhile now, Although I have to admit I like the even glow that the sleeve kit gives to my computer. wink.gif

Is this the LED sleeve kit that uses a PCI x1 slot? I would consider that as a lighting option too, but my GPU covers the only slot my motherboard has. I once tried moving my GPU so that it freed the PCI slot in question, but then something odd happened to the drivers until I moved it back. redface.gif

You could do like I did and remove the PCI slot and mount the circuit board on a piece of cardboard then mount the assembly to the inside of your case. although since my Side window can swing open I can still control it with ease. redface.gif

Edit:
I'm also going to be getting the NZXT Aperture card reader soon. biggrin.gif

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992010

Can't wait for this because my Phone is a pain in my side. The file system constantly freezes up and causes error so once I reach about 300 photos I have to offload everything onto my computer or I will regret it. With this I can take advantage of the Class 10 MINI SD card I have. The USB adapter I have is way to slow. tongue.gif
