Now then to the main reason I popped into the tempest thread. Behold my window swap mod. It does look pretty sleek even if i do say so myself.

And the flip side.

I know this has been done before but at least in my case I did it by using the original window mounts. Used a cutting disc to make the holes in the new window. It's not 100% perfect as you cans see the cuts if you look very closely.

I know, having a run of bad luck lately redface.gif Hopefully I can put it behind me after moving into my own place later in the month (estimated for the 22nd).

Thanks for the input though, I reckon that's more than likely what I'm going to end up doing thumb.gif

The window mod looks pretty awesome too, good work on it smile.gif I hope my future window mod will look that good!

You and me both having a bad run of luck this month. tongue.gif

1st: My motherboard won't detect my sound card in the only 16x lane available

2cd: Plugged in some bad PSU cables and fried my SSD and HDD

3rd: Windows updates screwed my install over after I had all my games installed axesmiley.png

4th: Getting random BSODS with little to no trace of what's causing it in the dump file

Those BSODs happen randomly, I can go days without one then it hits or I t could moments after I exit sleep mode. I have a feeling it's because I'm lacking a few critical updates but If I update again it will screw my computer over again. This time I have my install backed up on my external HDD so if updates screw me over again I won't have to reinstall all my games. wink.gif

Hi, I've a NZXT Tempest EVO and I have a problem. I wanna reverse a top fan (the more near to the front panel) to improve temperatures (I've a particular air flow biggrin.gif ), but I can't open the top panel to do this. I noticed six little screws accessible from the inside of the case. I removed them but the top panel was still setted, and I don't know how to access to the top fans.
Anyone can help me?

There should be two more screws at the front of the case, holding down the top panel there. To get at them, you also need to remove the front panel, though that's a lot easier as it just pulls off, no screws to worry about there. Once those two screws are off, you should be able to lift the top panel off, but bear in mind there's two small tabs at the rear of the top panel, also keeping it down. Sliding it forward a little first should allow you to take it off without them snagging on anything.

Hope this helps! thumb.gif

I wish I would have known about those tabs when I first got my Tempest. I broke one off the first day I got it. biggrin.gif

But I have also to remove the little internal screws? I removed the front screws but it doesn't slide forward for now.

Yes, to remove the top panel you will need to remove all the "Internal" screws that hold it in place. thumb.gif
