By that, you mean you intend to get into the development of enthusiast cases, or the modelling/prototyping side of it? I've often considered something similar since catching the modding bug, has to be said.
It'd either be that, or actually put my degree to good use and become a Software Engineer, but I've seen enough code to last me a lifetime rolleyes.gif

I used to be a programmer like you...Until I took a graphics card to the face. tongue.gif

But in all seriousness, I am planning to go to university for technology product design so I'll most likely making computer peripherals for a living anyways.

I have had the EVO for almost a year now. I am loving it. Just found this community a few days ago as I was thinking of ocing and water cooling. I don't have any pictures yet but would love to join this community. And I can post pics soon!

Duplicate post. Sorry. Sending from my phone didn't show an immediate update.

EDIT:
If you have something to add let me know, I'm seriously thinking about modeling a Micro ATX version someday and submitting my idea to NZXT headquarters one day after all I will be doing these kinds of things for a living one day. rolleyes.gif

Hi there! Hope to see some pics soon. I think you'd need to PM t77snapshot to join the community (only he can add folks to the list on Page 1) thumb.gif

Thanks evil. I just bought some new fans and am going to be replacing the 2 top 140s. Seeing all the pics of awesome cable management has got me thinking to do the same thing since I have to take out the mobo. I will add before and after pics when I do that. Haven't done much modding in my time yet. Hope to start now.

Sneak peek at my fans if anyone is interested. Planning on cutting off the front fan grills and possibly removing the side fan. Plan on replacing the top two 140s and the front two 120s.

Sorry for some many posts so quickly tongue.gif

This was exactly the same of me when I first got my Tempest Evo, was completely new to modding, but not computer builds thumb.gif

As for your plans on the new fans, that was pretty much the first thing I did too!

Also, while you're cutting the front fan grills off, you might want to just be done with it and also cut off the rear fan grill (I replaced it with a wire finger guard), and maybe also a small hole in the top left of the motherboard tray - to help get that 8 pin power cable up there from the PSU smile.gif

Got it done, I think it is an improvement over what it used to be.
Before:

After:

A few shots of what I did as well.

Seemed like the consensus was to cut the grills off of here and not use the additional "filter":

I also drilled out the top 140mm fan holes to allow for the rubber screws to fit with my fans:

This is what I have done for now. Not sure what else to do/what I want to do yet. I have not cut off the back exhaust grill yet.
Sorry for the long post and the pics. Will get a few up later if people want to see the "Blue Beast" after the 4 new fans.
