On another note I have decided not to mod my Tempest as I need the money to grab another tempest before they are gone. Might look into getting the arctic camo version as they are already extremely rare. I need a new tempest so I can make a model of one in Sketchup but I don't feel like running out of a shoe box in the mean time. tongue.gif

And what's wrong with running out of a shoe box? tongue.gif

Hmm, if I had the money to spare, I'd definitely snap up a second Tempest. frown.gif

This is the last bit of cash I will have to spare for months and I'm spending it on Christmas presents and a tempest. kookoo.gif

I would call that a worthy cause. I would like to try and get another of these cases for a build for my friend. I love this case and it runs so amazingly cool even with a stock heatsink still haha.

Also, I will post some pics with the new fans in soon. Phone I was taking pics with went the fritz haha.

Ohmygod.jpg

That Arctic camo tempest is soo good looking, I've decided I'm going to shoot for revolutionPCs stock in the next week or so. Thinking of getting some things to spruce it up, of course the sprucing will have to come slowly as I get funds. tongue.gif

*2x 5mm red led pre-wired for the front panel lighting
*NZXT Hue controller
*NZXT Air series(red) fans all around xD
^Maybe white instead?

But we all know how plans go, they almost always go south for the winter xD

EDIT:

Imagine red accent lighting on he front panel with red led fans on every port on this: (dunno about internal lighting yet)

I think going for red LED's would work quite well with the Arctic Camo edition. White might be a bit underwhelming though, considering a lot of the case itself is white or light grey.

Have to agree with this on second thought, However since I'll be getting the Hue controller I could try it out and see what it's like. Then again I suppose Internal lighting may have a different impact then the fans on the exterior. It's sad a company hasn't released a decent 256 color led fan yet.

Going to be rigging up a new switch for the main power so I have to find an easy solution to cover up the top I/O panel, Thinking of removing the I/O devices and cutting a piece of aluminum to put over the panel and perhaps have it etched. Perhaps have the words " NZXT" installed on it? Maybe then have in smaller letters "Tempest-Evo" underneath it?

The new switch: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6273/ele-302/Prewired_Bulgin_Style_Vandal_Momentary_Power_Switch_w_LED.html?tl=g52c403s319

Probably have the new switch installed somewhere on the left panel for ease of access but I haven't decided exactly where.

Switch looks suspiciously similar to my own tongue.gif

I need to order a replacement for my switch anyway, as i had an oopsie while soldering the wiring. Logn story short is the LED ring doesn't work on mine tongue.gif

I like your plans on replacing the I/O panel with some etched aluminium though, that should look pretty awesome thumb.gif Will you be painting the aluminium, or will it be like a piece of brushed aluminium?

maybe a smoked grey brushed aluminum or a shade darker. I dunno, I will use what I can get my hands on. I may have someone do it professionally, maybe Dwood would do this for me. thinking.gif

EDIT:
Has it occurred to anyone that the Arctic camo variant is like a rare white rhino? biggrin.gif

Ahh, so is this I/O panel replacement going to be for your standard or Arctic Camo case? How long is the lead time on requests from Dwood? I'm sure I read recently he's got one helluva backlog of requests...
