Have done a run on both the M4A89TD Pro and the Asus CHIV. Both are good boards, but I have not used them with an X6, so that may be a different case. What I found is that benchmarks wise there is no difference from my current setup, other than ram oc...

Wow, thanks so much for the review. But no 890GX comparison or is it not enough out there?

Great job!

This stuff is so new that you would have to have Sata III drives in raid 0 or SSD Sata III and some really fast ram. DDR3. Everyone is still slowly making the switch over to the newer stuff that i would not even call standard yet. It is still in its infancy but I still have to keep up with the new stuff to keep the thread read worthy.

On another note I did see a MSI test with the ASUS and the MSI won over the ASUS which I was stunned.. Hardware Secrets did it. They were pretty thurough. Maybe MSI is getting sick of RMAing all these motherboards and putting the new ones together better. Time will tell.

Well got my new asus board. Still having trouble breaking 3.5 without insane amounts of vcore Oh well. Does anyone know if a waterblock made for the other M4A79 series motherboard will work for mine? Looks as if they all have the same placement...touched the nb cooler and nearly burnt myself lol...

You really should stick Op-Ed in the thread title somewhere...You might potentially mislead people...You've got all these boards listed and yet you leave out a board like the Biostar TA890FXE even after the CPU-Z and HWBot validations at 7125MHz (good enough for highest OC in the world for quad-core Phenom II...) have been posted in this very thread...
