Is there any way to get more than 2 displays working while crossfire is on? Someone said Hydravision but i dont think that it supports my graphics cards.
and also whats the best software to get a differant background on each screen?

I don't know about the former as I've never used a Crossfire system.
To get different backgrounds, Ultramon is a great piece of software to use for that.

my current understanding i dont think you can run 2 3d displays in aether crossfire or sli

one will be a low resolution low color display
so its really not worth it

plus you dont get that much more performance between one card to 2 besides maybe some benchmark scores

and yes ultramon is one of the best multi monitor display programs

i personally think the dif background suck lol you can get multi monitor wallpapers that can be cool i like pattern ones like real wallpaper lol

If you want more than one monitor just plug as many as you can into the first GPU (4850's should have two DVI connectors) and set it up in the control panel (screen resolution).

well im sure he knows how to do that its the running multiple while in crossfire setting it normally only lets you use one display no matter how many are plugged in

I run 2 with crossfire enabled. They just have to be on the same GPU.

Not entirely true, a 30%-40% increased on indentical CF'ed cards can be night and day in real-game testing.
i.e. 20FPS to 30FPS within mainstream titles.

4850s in CF matched my 4870X2 in my sig rig in FPS and benchies.

EDIT: DisplayFusion, A great free programs that allows diff. background for monitors

With SLI you can run multiple monitors in a 3d environment just fine. Crossfire I have no idea though, like I said.
