I don't have a lot of experience with buying AU since I live in US, but if I know anything about the currency exchange,

.85 AUD = 1 USD, and considering probably about 5% more since things in US seem to naturally cost less, I'd say we're talkin about 80% of a 1000 dollar US budget, so 800 - 950 USD budget.

It'd be tough to go i7 on that budget at this time I think, especially if overclocking is a goal because you're looking at another 100 on heatsinks and HSFs. Therefore, my recommendation would be:

Ud3p motherboard
Q9550 (because I love them)
Nvidia 275 or ATI 4890 (if you can get a toxic or vapor)

The rest should be pretty self explanatory and based on his needs.

For anybody posting after me who is US, assume about 800 - 950 budget.

shopbot seem's the best one but it's like a price comparision... Can't order all from one place, others don't even sell processors?

OT : Ouch... Talk about exchange rates... $350+ for i7

Best bet so far:

http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveA...HHRTV&sysID=10

Then click upgrade cpu to 955 and upgrade to gpu if it has that option..

Isn't there any sites like newegg in aus?

Those are all overestimates, keep in mind.
