i want to burn the Windows 7 image to a disc. the biggest disc i have has got 700MB of space. the image is 3.44GB. what do i do here? how have other people done this?

They burn it to DVD. Most people have DVD-RW drives now.
Like said above, you can mount most images to USB drive, and then boot from the USB drive.
If you don't have either, your only other solution is to install it via VMWare as a virtual machine.
If you lived in ConUS, I would burn you a copy of the RC 7100, and only ask for you to pay shipping for it.
Hopefully you can find someone who can burn it for you.

I find it hard to imagine someone with as nice a computer as yours not having a DVD burner. They're like $25 and 4.7GB discs aren't particularly expensive either...
If you need it right away, I guess you could just do as above and mount it to a USB and boot off that... though not all computers allow you to boot from USB, if you're installing it on an older desktop/laptop

As said, DVDs hold a lot more data and go from 4GB-18GB I think, or it might 16GB?

Make sure your drive supports burning DVD-R discs.
DVD-R discs hold up to 4.7GB of data. DVD-R Dual-Layer discs hold up to 8GB.
