Yes, according to my M2N thread homies, it should work well. Psyched. I just wonder if the board will limit the CPU in some way (other than by not using the on-die RAM controller).

You'll be able to use the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller), just not the DDR3 part of it. But all functions will be available to you.

With AM3 being Backward-Compatible, AMD has absolutely NO reason to make more AM2/AM2+ CPU's. Case Closed.
