I will say that I have made bonds with the same gauged material and then attempted to snap the bond while gripping the pieces at the furthest point from the vertice. Most of the time one of the panels will snap before the bond does... most
of the time.
The bonds on this shell are pretty good. sometimes the joining panels surfaces are too flush so the capillary action is halted midway through. This only happened a little on this project.
A way to get around this is to have the one of the panels be offset from the edge by 1/16"; this allows bonding from both sides.
