Drivers for an older Intel board

My friends computer got a nasty virus. Long story short he can't get on the internet due to a TCP/IP query error. I am pretty sure it is because of his mobo drivers. System board property details are as follows.

ACPI\\PNP0C01\\2&DABA3FF&0

And you want us to do... what exactly?

An ACPI sheet is not exactly helpful. We will need a little bit more information than that. What kind of: system, mobo, OS, CPU or even problem do you have?

That tells us very little, and none of it helpful. That's just a generic ID for the system board - this AMD Athlon XP system has exactly the same ACPI string, for example.

As Aeogenia says, simply the make/model would be helpful. However, Intel provide drivers on their site for just about everything they've ever made, so once you figure out what the board is - use Everest of CPU-z or something - or pop the side off and look at it if the system is that shagged.

Use this Intel® Chipset Identification Utility to identify which chip it´s.

Then go to station-drivers.com and look for a proper driver.

Good luck m8

Still no luck the only info about the board I can get from CPU-Z and from inside is that is Model C51MCP51 and the sb is made by Nvidia. I found some drivers for this board on HP's site. After installing those and windows service pack I still have the same problem. Sorry for the retarded first post. I didn't have any info with me but that number. The computer itself works just no internet. The exact error it says "Failed to query TCP/IP setting of the connection. Cannot proceed." I am at a complete loss...

You might wanna check out this thread on another forum (post #10 down). Seems like he was having the same error message as you and found a solution for it.

Good luck.
