Thinnest monitor bezel

Thread Starter
Looking for anyone's experience in finding a monitor with the thinnest bezel. Obviously I'm looking for a multi-display setup, but I would like to cut the bezel size down as much as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Mod it. Remove the stock bezel, place screens next to each other, and fabricate your own to block bleeding backlight.
Once again...

I like the idea, but I live in Key West where space is very limited lol. Meaning I don't have any room to do something like this. Though I'm interested to know if I were to do it... what materials would you suggest I use to fab my own? What is the purpose of the bezel in the first place? Why is it needed?

Sheesh... I didn't want anything to do with this, but now I like the idea... Duckie... you and your modding is going to get me in trouble.

The 245B/245BW are getting old but their bezel is pretty darn thin. I'm not at home so I cannot measure but it's less than 1/2". Most Samsungs (except for the new Touch Of Color models) have fairly thin bezels. By the way, what size are you looking for?

I doubt these monitors exist but when they do I am getting one and I bet you are too!!

EDIT:

I assume this is totally out of your price range but check out the offerings from 9XMedia.

You could use angle. You could use the original bezel, so long as you only cut the sides where the monitors will be touching. Use a little filler and sand then spray paint it to make one big bezel.

I was checking and they don't seem that expensive, but don't have anything I want. I don't want a computer and just their screen setup for 899= 2 19" monitors. No real specs and the site layout blows!!!

Here is something!

I think I might pick up a few smaller cheap monitors just to play with and then get the big boys for the real deal. Money isn't really a concern up to a point. The quality is what I'm looking for. If I could pay 1000-1200 for a triple monitor setup with almost no bezel I would do it. Just for the monitors alone I'm looking spend 300+ each. I think I will be going for 24" monitors as a final product.

I use two Samsung 245B's and a 2443BW right now, I just use the stands they came with and set them all on my desk since I've got the space. I've been looking into the multi-monitor Samsung solutions and they just don't work for me because I need a proper 16:10 PC aspect ratio on each monitor. The solutions Samsung offers are 16:9, which doesn't do it for me unless I'm buying a television.

Better off buying the monitor models you want yourself and getting an Ergotron mount or something at this point. When I have some extra cash kicking around I'm going to look into a 3x3 24" monitor solution with a single custom bezel that holds the monitors in position as close together as possible.
