This thread inspired me to buy this case back in december.

Did a bunch of carbon fiber vinyl work on it a few weeks ago, heres copy of my thread:

Well I was bored last week and decided to order up some CF wrap. Got a 1'x4' section shipped to me which arrived earlier. I took some before, during, and after pics just to show the difference, but they aren't terribly good considering they were taken by my phone. The angles were a pita to work out and don't look as perfect as I would like, but i like it overall. Posting it here since no one else I know is really into computers like I am and I would like to see what you all think.

Just covered the two main pieces running front to back on the case as well as the I/O panel.

Also, I gave the case a good dusting so excuse the dust in the before pictures.

Before:

Took off the two panels to get started:

Got them all cleaned up and started the process:

One panel pretty much done...Also showing my amazing Pink Xacto knife, insurance card squeegie, and dual purpose heat gun/hairdryer:

After doing the I/O section, which was easy, but getting the buttons to stop sticking took a lot of trimming:

For those with a good eye, the two small triangular pieces were added after the two main strips were. I didn't lay it out properly and when I mocked up the front pieces realized they needed to be done. I'm a bit OCD and got pretty mad when I couldn't quite line up the pattern on it.

Shot of the front all done:

Top/IO:

Overall view:

These pics look like my comp is all dusty, but it isn't, just the way the phone picked it up. I love the way it looks, probably going to pick up a rectangle window panel from performance-pcs and make a false floor and cover it in the remaining wrap.

So while I know its not a difficult thing to do, it took me a bit of time to get everything lined up and to minimize the seams on the angles edges on the front top corner. A nice low cost way to spruce up a case that has served me well thus far.

I love this case, lets everything breathe well and keeps the dust out for the most part.

Thanks! I really like the way it came out, gives it something a little unique about it for very little cost and only a couple hours of work.

Quick question to all those with a Noctua Nh-d14, How's the air flow in the case. i know its a big cooler and was wondering if the cooling was significant thought the case. Are your cpu temps low during load and idle?

I have a similar cooler (Thermalright Silver Arrow) and an additional 120mm intake installed above the HDD cage. My temps never break 40c on my 955 @ stock clocks (3.2Ghz) under 100% load. I and several others have noticed the top exhaust fans tend to pull too much at 100% causing negative pressure (pulling dust in from the pci vents). I'm getting a fan controller to slow them down a bit...otherwise I feel this case (PC-K62) has pretty decent air flow capabilities. You can't go wrong with either cooler. Both will give you amazing temps far beyond any other air cooling solution available.

Hope that helps!

the orange is gone, new motherboard is in along with 2 new WD 500GB Caviar blacks in RAID 0. But i ended up getting Air penetrators fans instead of the coolermaster ones. I also have a black and blue sleaved 24pin extention on the way as well.

anyway here it is:

cheers
