Some really cool ideas here. Thanks for posting! Looks like you cut a hole the bottom intake fan, right? What tools did you use? Looks like you're in an apartment as well...it's what has kept me from doing any serious modding on my case.

xspc rasa rx240. I'm sure that the rs240 will fit at the top. but rx is doubled the thickness.

NOTE: The case is k63 not k62.

It will not fit, and for the rs240 you need to mod the case to fit it.
You could use the Black Ice Stealth 280 rad, it will fit without mod in the top where the stock fans are (at least that is true for the k62, if the k63 has the same space then it should fit)

Yep, I cut a hole down there, using a dremel which turned out crappy and then switched over to my jigg saw. The holes for the fan screws I did the same way as the top fans, meaning you can slide the fan out without using tools. For that, I had to cut the bottom fan filter cage a little bit.

And, yeah, i live in a small bachelor suite and mostly resort to the balcony when cutting stuff. That or the bathroom, since tiles can be cleaned easily.
2 years ago, I spray painted a antec 300 on the balcony, covering everything with plastic.....and made an incredible mess anyway.
So, yeah, no more spray painting for me, but anything else is fair game.

Ha, good to know on the spray paint thing. thumb.gif I don't have a balcony and a dremel would create too much junk on the floor. I have a 9 month old son who has been crawling around the past couple months so anything on the floor is now edible, lol. I've been looking into the Klein Nibbler as the tool to cut out the back fan grill for better airflow. Others have used it with very nice results. biggrin.gif

That's the first time I have ever heard about a Klein Nibbler and must say I wish I had had one for my case. I have a small dog who also eats everything on the floor, so whenever I cut, I have to keep her away and clean very well right after.

So with a 140mm in the bottom 3 drive bays, it still comes up a bit into the bottom of the 4th drive bay (i.e you can only fit a cd drive in the top slot, and not a fan controller right below it with a 140mm installed).

Also this is my first post. Looking forward to posting on this forum. I was/kinda still am an active forum member on Notebook Review (1200+ posts), but decided to come on here since I bought a desktop.

I also plan to buy this case when I get paid. Can't wait to upload some pictures.

Well this has been done for a while but I figured I would post it here too. Excuse the awful quality, only had a phone camera around when I took them.

Anyone looking to do a full push/pull 240 up top with a decent sized rad will be looking at cutting the case. The plastic is tough, took me and my hacksaw an hour or so to finish it, but I think it came out great. Anyone with a dremel or even a handsaw meant for plastic shouldn't have any issues.

Temps are fantastic, and with only ap-15's running in my case along with one 140mm which is turned way down, my case is near silent, the only sound you hear at idle is the gpu fans at idle speeds and some airflow.

You could mount a 120 instead if you still want a fan controller. cool.gif Unless you plan on running your fans a 100% which is what I do. It takes some forethought but this case has some decent cable management. I haven't had any problems hiding everything so far. thumb.gif

Obviously there arent 120mm holes at the top, but I was able to just screw the fan to the radiator and it seems to be holding very tight. Wanted to put some rubber pieces in between(for vibration) but I was struggling too hard by myself so ended up just using screws.

Had to use 2 black zip ties to hold one of the fans because screws were hitting one of the inner supports. Also had to snip a piece of the left most support out to bring the pump/cpu block part through.

The only downfall is that you cant do push/pull with this case, but my fans pushing out have my temps ridiculous right now. HW monitor is showing 22-23c with fans on high.

Love this thing! Wasnt too excited about cutting a piece out of my case, but it had to happen! lol
Would love to see some pics of this, (especially the part of the case you had to mod to fit the pump through.)
