Hey Guys Ive got a K62 , Just swapped my top front 140MM for a 90CFM CM120 MM, (as intake) Airflow was GREAT and so were the temps,BUT as soon as I put the top plastic part on the case that cover the fan the airflow dropped 50-60%. So I put the 120MM inside the case , direclty above the M/b ,Airflow is good and so are the temperatures.BUT the fan makes a loud wind like sound in this position.The fan by itself is silent 19dba. Kindly advise

Mine does the same thing. I've got two 120mm fans inside the case that provide the airflow for my top mounted radiator. It is the air flowing over the metal "X" frame at the top of the case. It disturbs the air flow, and is probably even more pronounced in your situation since it is also hitting the angled top vent slates.

But the strange thing is that im using it as intake so the air is being sucked from the X cut.So yea..strange ..thanks for the try though

Air is still flowing over the X cut and through the angled vent slits, regardless of whether it is coming in or going out. As an experiment swap the airflow direction and vent everything out the top of the case and see if she still whistles.

Spent a week on that paint job. Four coats of color, two coats of clear with plenty of wet sanding and finish polishing once it was all done.
