I don't plan on buying an adapter, I think I can rig something up to hold the fan in there securely and buy a beer with the money saved

I was just curious as to whether or not the 140mm occupies the second drive bay. If it is too large to allow a fan controller to be used, I will buy a 120mm instead and just play it safe as it will most likely fit.

[edit]

Thanks you guys, especially Brafish for the pictures and info! I think I'll grab both a 120 and 140 in case...planning on getting Xig's as well maybe Orange/White LED. I could probably just situate the fan a little deeper into the case if it came down to it.

I've tried a Scythe Kaze Master Ace and a Lamptron FC-5 and neither one was a problem with the fan mounted in the front. Mounting in the rear should work fine too. I think I saw a photo from Xmisery that had his mounted in the back as well. Enjoy the Xigs!

I hope so! Can't wait to put an order in...this case has a great balance between functionality and style.

Here's a link to the photo I saw from Xmisery. I can't tell if that's a 120 or 140.

I just ordered some Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000rpm fans for my heatsink/rear exhaust, a mounting bracket for my cpu instead of the crappy pushpins and 3 pin extension cables so the farther back top fan, front fan and exhaust fan can reach my fan controller. I'm expecting temps to drop about 10 ish c (From 43~ idle to 33-35~ idle)

Well, here it is:

I have a K58W side panel coming in the next few days, as well as a ton of Yate Loons.

EDIT: Here's one showing the cable management (or lack thereof )

Wow the R really looks sharp when it's put together. Are you using cathodes or LEDs for the lighting?

Two 12" white cathodes.

Can you show me a picture of how you mounted that H50 on the top 140mm fan?

It's mounted to the rear exhaust fan (120mm).

The tubes go up and take a quick left. You can clearly see the radiator in the first picture.
