hey i have the k62 for a while now and i notice that when im open the side panel the temp go's down significantly i have i7 920 on 3.4ghz and Noctua NH-U12P SE on Push/Pull

on idle its 43c and when im open the side panel its go to 36c after 1minute
any 1 haveing the same problem ? i think maby the fans dont pushing enough hot air outside?

the load settings with the side panel is 72-73c and withput its like 65-67c

Well, I would imagine the same goes for any case with the side panel removed. But, I'm guessing that the 4890 Vapor-X card is generating some decent heat. Does the card exhaust the warm air out out the back of the case, or is it trapped inside the case, relying on the case fans to do the work? What fans do you have on your CPU cooler? You could always try putting better case fans in and/or also on the CPU cooler.

Eventually though, you'll reach a point where the higher speed fans, although will help cool things down, will start to become annoying with the higher dB(A) rates. I guess you'll have to find the right balance that works best for you though.

Many gpu cards dump their heat by ducting it to the back. The Vapor-X 4890 does not. All that heat is then sucked through your cpu cooler. It would probably be beneficial to add a fan in the 5.25" drive bays to bring additional cool air into your case.

Wow, that's beautiful. I really need to take an afternoon and make mine look like that again. (Too much tinkering and "temporary" wiring...sigh.)

I had the exact same issue as well. This is probably due to the stock fans not pushing enough air. I replaced all my fans with Xiggy fans and the problem was fixed.

Got my PC-K62 with a combo deal. So I figured I'd replace my parents NZXT Alpha Black with this sexy chassis. Took me about 2½ hours to do the cable management.

I'm still not quite done with my build, but I thought you guys might like to see a K-62 with the full window panel:

I got a PC-K62R. Great case but lacks intake. Trying to find some fast 140mm but no luck.
