Nice build Squirrel! Love the case. Did you have to do any modding to get the 280mm radiator to mount up top with the 4 fans attached?

i originally only had the 2 140mm fans on the rad then i decieded to cut the top panel so i could add to more fans but no modding other than that rad fits perfectly in

Hi all. I just built a new rig with a Scout case, but am considering switching to the Lancool PC-K62. I think many of the concerns i have with the scout may be better situated with the PC-K62 and have a few questions. Is there a lot of space between the motherboard tray and the right side panel to route cables and hide them? Scout is pretty difficult to do this. How are the dust filters? I have seen cases with very thick and very thin (like screen windows). I cant see this case in person to judge for myself and thought I'd ask you guys. The scout's are very thick. So thick that the red LED fan is barely noticeable. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. its great for filtering out dust, but maybe at the expense of air flow. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

There isn't a lot of room behind the motherboard tray and side panel.

But I have a ton of wires back there and it all fits!

Go to the link in my sig to see how much wires you can fit behind the mobo tray. I admit this is my first "enthusiast" case but I'm not crazy about it. It does have some great features one of them being dust control is really good. Over all I would rate my happiness with the case as a solid 8/10. The dust filters are like a screen door mesh. Airflow and build quality IMO is superb in this case. I bought it back when it was still selling for $110 on new egg and I think it was worth every penny but I wish I got one with the anodized red or blue interior oh and the rectangle picture frame window that supposedly ships with some of the new ones looks way better than the hour glass window imo.

I put a lot of time in choosing my case. The things I was looking for that led me to this case:

Decent wire management
Big hole in mobo tray for access to the back of cpu (so I dont always have to take out the mobo to change cooler mounting)
Top fans for cooling
Dust filters
Bottom mount psu
Matching color inside and out

Thanks for the replies. With my Scout i need two people to hold the panel down to close it its so cramped. Is the lancool like this? I know cable might not be routed easily with it, but if there's space so you can close the panel easier, that would be great. At this point i shudder to think about opening the panel, which is bad and may prevent further tweaking and upgrades since its such a pain. BTW anyone have a cogage true spirit cpu cooler? I assume it will fit in this case.

If you saw all the wires I crammed in the back of mine you know I'm not exagerating when I say I feel your pain. Yes, the k62 is the same and I was quite surprised when I finally got the back panel on by myself. Like someone else has already mentioned, there is hardly any space between the mobo tray and the panel and I too shudder at the idea that I might ever have to take my side panel off again. Although I have rebuilt this pc over 5 times in the past year.

I'm moving on from my CM-690; just ordered a K58-W for a great $62.99 at the local NCIX!

At the price I couldn't resist, it has a side window I always wanted and I think it's completely full of sexy. After a big long session of "do want"s and decisions I pulled the trigger

Wondering how am I going to be able to mount top fans on this though (I'm not paying $7.99 + $9.99 shipping just to order OF-01 mounting kit from Newegg). Would zipties be okay? (I'm a bit worried about the vibration here but it could work). Does anyone have a spare set of OF-01/fan screws or knows another way to mount it (i.e. using the rubber grommets from the hard drive cages - and are there enough anyway)?

Am also wondering if the K-58W comes with a front plate that allows the mounting of a 3.5" external bay device (flash card reader in my case) or what to buy if I need something for it. I am seriously not going to fish out about $20 for this. (EDIT: Actually I'm pretty sure using the converter/bezel with my CM 690 will work fine and match the case).
