Homemade coolant TC-WC

Thread Starter
Man don't I just love playing with chemicals

With the help from a 3000 page text book and a lot of internet research, I just got a new idea!

Regular coolant is 80% water or above, why not use thermal compound insdead?

I'm working on a runny liquid compound right now, hopefully it will outperform water by 15-20 times (not in temps, but in thermal transfer rate).

Because thermal compound is thicker and won't run as smoothly as water.
Not bad at all...

Arghhh, I guess this WC will be on hold too.... those componds just cost too much

Again, I got the design already w00t, this should give WC cooling a nice 8-14'C drop in temps

You realize its got to be as fluid as water or you'll knacker the pump...and all these 'chemicals' won't react with PVC tubing...etc

Yes I've got those stuff, but to have enough for a cooling loop would be real tough, I'm working on a new formula.

yeah, i dont wanna be rude but all this is starting to look silly. aspirations are good but he is stating things that sound as if they have had months of testing (proper testing). hopes to get 8-14c drops in temp, outperform water by 15-20 times. he has no way of knowing that yet. probably talented, and really could lead somewhere but needs to settle down, or he just loves the attention. sorry if i sound rude, i dont wanna but this is just crazy.
