Lo Latency 2GB Kits

I happened to find 2GB kits (2 x 1GB) of RAM that could do 2-3-3-6 1T at DDR400. Is this a big performance boost over regular 2GB kits with looser timings? There obviously is a gain in performance, but is it big enough to buy these over cheaper 2GB kits with looser timings? Does any other company besides Corsair make low latency 2GB kits? Will these things OC well?

sounds pretty decent...but then again...once you overclock them they're just going to get looser and looser...

See, that's what he's talking about. Could I keep the timings tight while OC'ing or will it be the same as getting a regular 2GB kit and OC'ing that?

And now I just found this: Corsair Twinx2048-3500LLPRO. These will do 2-3-2-6 1T at DDR400.

Correction DDR433. These do look pretty good, but kind of spendy, and hard to find right now.

Here's a decent reviewhttp://www.insanetek.com/review.php?id=78&page=1

Yeah, I missed that, BFRD. I searched in newegg and that didn't come up as a result. Looks nice. They all do for that matter. Now if I could just pony up the cash to get me a kit of these...

These OCZ sticks are rated at 2-3-2-5 too but they are more expensive than the G.SKILL ones; don't know how they overclock though.

Also you can get two of these (also OCZ, yes I am an OCZ freak, I know) which are also 2-3-2-5 and still more expensive.

I think the G.SKILL ones are your best bet however.

yes however will they yield more performance than the geil one series? They do have a whole gig advantage but the geil one is 1.5 - 2 - 2 - 5
