9800PRO crashing - Page 3

For one, a 9800PRO does not have a temperature sensor.
For two, speedfan will not tell you the temperature of the video card even if it did have a temperature sensor.

It looks like alls you need is a new cooler for the video card and you're good to go.

What exactly are you going to be running on it? Do you plan on overclocking? And what is your budget?

Edit: You could try a new fan on the video card first though, I wouldn't run that videocard without the fan running.

Doesn't the r360 core 9800pro have a temp sensor? I know my r350 didn't.

No. This will fry your card over time, if it hasn't already. Stop using it immediately until you get a working cooling solution.

EDIT: If you want to keep it cheap, you could probably rig a 60 or 80mm fan to the bottom of the card so that it blows across the heatsink.

IMO that's one of the best coolers for a video card ever made. It will do you good on this video card and even if you upgrade you can still use it

As for being fried... it's probably not.
