ok, i know i can't flash this to a 5600 or something, but i heard that the 5200 ultra is better than the 5500. can i flash this to that? or can someone find me a bios with the clocks for my video card at 300-320/405-425? or can someone tell me how to mod my bios?

CanI ask why you are wanting a bios flash ? And have you ran the card at the clocks you are wanting to get in a new bios ?

If so why not use rivia tuner or cool bits to just set the clock speeds ?

The 5200 ultra isnt better, the clocks are just a bit higher.

Download the program nibitor, and you can save your bios and edit it like that.

Truthfully, its not worth it on a 5500. Just overclock it. Mine ran fine 24/7 at 320/460 with as5 on the core and home made aluminum ramsinks.

i can't do that though. it gets unstable the moment i OC it, because as u start the game it has to change the clock speeds and that extra change in voltage to OC it makes the system unstable so if i edit the bios and make it the "default" clock, i'm guessing it won't be unstable

thats my logical guess because my system in theory could run a 5700 which takes more voltage.

yes, i have tried ocing the 2D part also, so taht it doesen't have to change modes and clocks when u start a game, but it doesen't listen.
